Even my sky craves for you
To take a gentle glance
So my eyes fulfils its craving
At nothing else but you my darling
To watch you from above
From cluster of clouds
It lets joy to be aroused
In a luminous rain
These clouds were nearly dying
Evaporating in hands of wind
Your existence:
Oh, how it allowed me
To feel again
To pour what was forgotten
Tears of rain
My destiny in your hands
Mine is been enlightened
Through one glance at you
You are so inspiring
Even without you knowing

Tips of you fingers
Seems to embrace me
The hold of your hands
Sweeps me into safety
No matter
How much I grow
I'm still your girl
Have I ever told you?
That I still keep missing you
Where have you gone
Left me in absence
How painful is time
Without your presence
I'm not sure if I'm brave enough
Facing the trenches all alone
I have no choice but to go on
Glowing within my inner grief

Sparks of Women

Dar Al Atta Association holds Sparks of Women, a poetic evening celebrating womanhood and the role of women in community. Coinciding with Women of Color Day which is annually celebrated on achievements of women of color which started in United States and now celebrated internationally on every 1st of March.

The evening will host women poets among them from India Priyanka Sacheti a creative writer and published three volume of poetry based in Muscat and Reem Al lawati, an Omani Poet known by her daring Arabic Poetry, also Nasra Al Adawi will join with English poetry recital, and Jane Jaffer a published novelist will join with her poetic thoughts. More surprises are stored for this evening.

The evening is open to all, the event will start at 6:30 pm on 2nd of March 2008 at Dar Al Atta Association at Madinat Sultan Qaboos, for further information call 24692996

A million light of distance, I stand
Gazing into past, your gone memory
Just bits left, glittering beautiful
That’s how memories…
Needs to be kept
Twinkling so far
Little stars in skies

There is an absence
The air deserted space
No wind to sway the trees
Dew droplets remained
Did not slip away from leaves
There is me in this scene
A woman who imparted her name
In the sake to remain
Just a soul within your arms
A light that fills the absence
I'm your soul within the silence
In a transcending light
Ecstasy in burning flame
Unlike desire
In love tracing
Spread her rays
All alight with tenderness
This soul falls gently
Embracing yours

Ecstasy
That flamed within a single kiss
Fire embracing fire
Twirling emotion
Birthing tornado
Hot and cold
Vibrating unimaginable storm
Then wind halts
Emotions breathing in and out
The twister inside dies
Leaving silence touching emptiness
Invisible air
Shapes drops rippling blank atmosphere
I'm all those in your arms

Rain falls in tears

In every aches that lingers

Love aches at its first touch

Happiness, its not what it is all about

And you are the dream that Im dreaming

For my heart had poured in loving you

If you know loving you keep me breathing

Without the beats of my heart

Once every heartbeat of mine had died

I continue being your loving soul
